True Wind in Salvo, North Carolina

Salvo
Salvo is a very quiet village, much like the Outer Banks
used to be 30 years ago. We're a short walk to the beach and
an even shorter walk to the sound. From the Living Room you
can see both.
North: Waves & Rodanthe
Slightly North are the towns of Waves and Rodanthe, where you'll find
some beach shopping and a mini-park that has water slides and go-carts.
Great for the kids--even those "grown-up" ones.
South: Avon
Down the road you will find Avon, including some very nice, fresh
seafood restaurants and a movie theater. The Food Lion is the local
grocery store.
Further South: Hatteras and Beyond
More quaint shops are located further South. A nice drive in the afternoon,
you may even want to take a free ferry ride to Ocracoke village.
